VisualBerlin e.V.

Der Videokunst Club Visual Berlin e.V. ist eine Gemeinschaft in Berlin lebender Videokünstler und VJs, die sich für kooperative Projekte und gegenseitigen Austausch mit der regionalen und internationalen Visualistenszene engagiert. Das Konzept entstand aus dem Wunsch heraus, jenseits der anonymen Partynächte Gleichgesinnte kennenzulernen und Ideen, Wissen und Technik zu bündeln, um so auch komplexe Projekte gemeinsam realisieren zu können. Mit dem Ende 2006 veranstalteten internationalen VJ Festival AVIT>C23 hat sich der Verein auch über die Landesgrenzen hinaus einen Namen gemacht. Bei DMY wird VisualBerlin Videoinstallationen und als „Couch VJs“ und im Klublabor Live-Visuals präsentieren.

The association VisualBerlin e.V. is a collective of Berlin based video artists and VJs who are involved with project cooperation and mutual exchange with the regional and international visual arts scene. The concept grew from the desire to get to know like-minded people apart from these anonymous party nights, to combine ideas, expertise and technology in order to implement rather complex projects together. Due to the international VJ festival AVIT>C23 held by the end of 2006, the association got known well beyond borders. At DMY VisualBerlin implements visual installations as so called ‚Couch VJs‘ while presenting live visuals at the Klublabor.
